1 cup chana dal
4 cups rice
1 tsp haldi powder
1 tsp chilli powder
2 pieces garlic
4 red chillies
Heat some oil in the pressure cooker and put the mustard seeds.
Put the red chillies, curry leaves along with the garlic
Put the onion and sauté them till they becomes golden brown.
Put the tomatoes. When the tomatoes are cooked add the water.
When the water starts boiling, put salt and chilli powder along with haldi powder.
Then put the rice and dal and close the cooker and let it cook for about 4 whistles in a low flame.
Open the lid of the cooker after 15 minutes after turning the flame off
Lastly, put the coriander leaves.
