1. Fish

Seafood especially fish is a treasure trove if you want to boost your child’s mental sharpness and memory. Give your child mackerel (rohu), salmon (meethay paani ki machli) and sardine (samundari machli). Fish is the best source of Omega-3 fatty acids which boosts learning ability, brain activity and problem solving skills. Your kid should have at least 2% of omega-3 fatty acids in his daily diet.

2. Egg

Egg is a rich source of lecithin, choline and vitamin B. Choline, present in yolk, contributes to building brain cells. An egg sandwich is not only tasty but also makes one of the healthy snacks for kids.

3. Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter contains thiamin and vitamin E which are two anti-oxidants that protect the membranes of the nervous system and help it use glucose. Peanut butter sandwiches constitute brain boosting snacks.

4. Whole Grains

These are absolutely great for your child’s brain. It gives your child an uninterrupted supply of glucose. Whole grains are rick is B vitamins which nourish the brain.

5. Oatmeal

Oatmeal contains vitamin E, B vitamins, zinc and fiber which provide abundant fuel and energy to the brain which in return makes the brain function with full capacity. Give your child oatmeal porridge once in a week as brain boosting snacks.
