Commissioner of Yambio County Mr. Angelo Bakote [©Gurtong]The Commissioner of Yambio County Mr. Angelo Bakote together with the Advisor for the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Mr. Richard Mizani inspected Yambio Town and Masia open markets within Yambio town in Western Equatoria last Wednesday.

The Commissioner of Yambio County Mr. Angelo Bakote together with the Advisor for the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Mr. Richard Mizani inspected Yambio Town and Masia open markets within Yambio town in Western Equatoria last Wednesday.

Bakote reported of the many incomplete shops that are under contraction but he was also informed that the shops belong to some government officials in the State.

They also reported that the market was very dirty which the Commissioner revealed to be as a result of the incapability of the Payam Administrators. They always give orders to those concerned but there has been no action; he promised to intervene.

The team also went with the Commissioner to Masia market where they found one of the Lodges in the middle of the market operating illegally. The authorities arrested the manager who is a Cameroonian after claiming that he was employed by Captain John Giazi.

Bakote concluded that all unoccupied shops to be given to the traders who have no place for running their business since they are the same people who are claiming for other spaces at Sugu Nganzi.
