The two Ministers revealed to the press yesterday at Juba International Airport upon Anyang’s arrival.

Prof. Anyang the Kenyan Minister of Medical Service said, “I am here to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Health on different medical sectors”.

The memorandum of understanding is set to cover medical commodities and equipment, human resource management, delivery and maintenance among others.

He added that the infrastructure was destroyed during the 21 years of civil war in the Sudan and that they want to see how the two neighbouring countries can be developed together.

Anyang said that South Sudan can be able to learn from their experience and that they can also learn from South Sudan since the country is beginning with the current world technology.

The Kenyan minister explained that the signing of the memorandum will boost bilateral ties between the two Countries.

Meanwhile the minister of health, Dr Michael Milly Hussein who received his Kenyan counterpart at the airport told the press that they are set to sign a memo which has been there for long.

The minister also said that they are going to sign a deal on an establishment of Oxygen Plan. Dr. Milly described the oxygen plan as a “big headache” for his ministry.

He added that they want to establish a pharmaceutical storage service and that Kenya will help the South in many areas.

The ministry is expected to implement the memorandum immediately after the signing.
