Speaking to Gurtong, the Assistant Commissioner for Physical Infrastructure Goodwill Soro said the roads in the town centre and suburbs had been dilapidated and needed urgent attention.
Soro called on the citizens to take total responsibility to clear roads within the residential areas and villages to ease movement and transport.
In June, the Commissioner of Yei River County Juma David Augustine launched a policy on resource mobilisation where each household is expected to contribute 10 South Sudanese Pounds for the demarcation and construction of roads in the county.
The policy has received immense support from the citizens of Yei County.
