“I need all of you to cultivate enough food as no one will offer you food,” said Wal.

 The speaker said that there is now peace in the country and residents should concentrate their efforts in producing enough that can sustain them economically.

South Sudan has been importing most of the food items from the rest of the East African countries and there has been an increase in food prices because food is purchased in hard currency.

Many community members are not able to afford food items due to the increased prices.

The speaker said that it is better if everyone produced what they can consume and the surplus can be sold.
