The residents of Rii-Yubu Payam in Tombura County have been mobilised to carry out repair works on the dilapidated bridges in the Payam.

The residents say that they have encountered losses due to the poor state of the Mazungu, Sinawiro and Mavurumo bridges.

The residents have been mobilised under the Awiri Anisa Association which involves all the youth and the elderly with contributions in cash and kind from all the community members.

They have mobilized 2,976 South Sudanese Pounds as contribution towards the initiative.

Meanwhile the Tombura County Commissioner Babiro Gbamisi acknowledged the idea planed by the community adding that he has tried all formal procedures to have the bridges repaired with the state ministry and other organisations without success.
