The minister has cited Toposa and Larim (Buya) as areas where there has been an increase in the number of pupils due to the availability of the feeding program.

He said that the program is effective in improving the education standards and also deterring the frequent cattle raid as the community is economically empowered to stop the over dependency on cattle.

He says the two communities strongly need to know the importance education through consistent awareness by education activists.

The minister compares the poor enrolment at Kapoeta with that of Torit and Magwi and reveals a very high difference saying that only two schools in Kapoeta with about 400 pupils this year in comparison to 45,000 enrolled in Torit and Magwi County.
