The tournament would take place in the state capital of Western Bahr El Ghazal State, Wau according to the Undersecretary of the Ministry Mr. Deng Deng.
“The technical committee which has been assigned by the Ministry of General Education and Instructions has met on Wednesday to discuss the preparation for the second national inter-schools’ competition in Wau,” he said.
“The meeting discussed the report of the mission we sent to Wau for the assessment of accommodation facility.
“We agreed on a number of schools that are going to be used for accommodation of students from the ten states as well as the main theater in Wau which is going to be used for cultural competitions as well as play grounds (including the main stadium and Wau Sports complex),” he continued.
According to Mr. Deng, the committee will meet again on Friday to discuss the reports of the various committees which include sports committee, culture committee and media sub-committee and making recommendation to all the reports.
The first Inter-Schools tournament was held in Rumbek, Lakes State and the winning teams were awarded with trophies, metals and cash to honour their participation and talents.
