“Today, South Sudan is taken to be one of the countries that does not have good human rights records. Why? There are many reasons why these things are happening in our country. It is not that they are not happening in other countries but the young country is being watched by everybody, all the eyes are on South Sudan to see what they are doing,” said President Kiir.

The President was speaking during the opening of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs office building and the occasion was attended by Ministers and political leaders.

According to the President South Sudan is measured on their performance, their capability to provide services, the management of their economy, administrative affairs, the respect for human rights and rule of law.

“All these things are being expected from us in South Sudan. But we can’t expel them away since this is our country and there are things that are happening,” President Kiir said.

“You will find that there are people in the same government, who will go and talk ill of the government, that there is, corruption, tribalism, the government does not respect human rights, but you find that he is doing all these at night and he comes to clean himself during daytime that he is a very clean man,” he said.

“This time we will not accept. We will trace everybody to wherever he/she hides by day time to commit crimes by night time,” he added.
