“Some people talk about issues of women and their rights but those who went to the bushes know very well your participation. We know how hard you suffered. Women did all sorts of things including handling of the gun,” he said.

He said people are preaching political propaganda and that no one should claim to have fought for the rights of the women because they fought for themselves. 

“We know your struggle and can people come to preach to you that we will marginalize you? Its not possible,” he added.

Telar said that the government cannot oppress women because they are part of men and promised that rights of women will be protected.

The presidential advisor said those women who were in the government controlled areas had to undergo a lot of suffering and that they had to make alcohol to educate their children and were lashed.
