The Lawmakers did not hesitate after the motion was tabled before them, but moved quickly to adopt the resolution so the state civil servants and themselves the constitutional post holders, get enough time to attend to farming or cultivations in the fields.

They said the resolution will help all government officials regardless of positions to fight the hunger in the region where all food crops are imported from neighbouring Countries.

In several occasions held in the state, the governor along with other state leaders repeatedly pronounce that any idleness or any able-bodied found playing cards, dominos, ludo, pools, among other types of leisure activities during official working hours and cultivation days, shall be liable for punishment.

He said the move will purposely enable his government employees to have sufficient time to attend to land tilling with eventual objective to fight the ongoing biting hunger and increase food production in the region.
