The Head Command of Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) Section II in Upper Nile has urged women in South Sudan to promote their country’s traditions and preserve their culture.

On his official visit to Manyo County in UNS, Lt Gen. Johnson Gony Biliew said it is the responsibility of women in South Sudan to keep the beautiful and positive social cultural practices of the country for the benefit of the next generations.

Gen. Biliew said it is in the mandate of all South Sudanese mothers to give positive cultural training to their children at home.

Biliew said that if children are left without proper cultural trainings, the western culture would completely erode the South Sudanese culture.

He acknowledged that women in every society have paramount roles for promoting culture and peace among the different communities.

Biliew said for prestige South Sudan needs to keep its cultural practices and beliefs of the different communities.
