He made the call after his visit to Wau Main Teaching Civil Hospital where he laid a foundation stone of women maternal word on Thursday.

“We want the issue of our mothers who are deliveries out of hospitals in Bagari Wau County headquarters and Nyin-Akok Jur River headquarters in bad conditions to be taken seriously,” said Kiir.

“We have transferred these county headquarters outside the town as a move to take government facilities to the people in the rural area. Therefore, we have to provide them with basic needs,” he added.
 
Kiir also instructed his Deputy Minister of Road and Bridges Simon Majok Mijok to urgently respond to Jur River Bridge which needs repair.

The president congratulated the people of WBGS for the new airport, saying the national government is working hard to grade Wau airport to internationally standard.

In a separate development, Kiir said his recent meeting with the Sudanese president Omar el Bashir in Khartoum discussed bilateral relations and an end to rebel support by both countries.

“Our discussion with Bashir has also paved a way of oil follow to the international market and Bashir has suspended the threat to close down oil pipe lines,” Kiir said.

“We have agreed with president Bashir to end hostilities between the two nations and allow free trade mark.”
