The new members appointed by the state liberation council members were Anthony Wadarif as the SPLM state deputy chairperson and Valentino Majok Majok as state secretary.

New secretary Valentino Majok Majok also mentioned the same work collaboration and called on all state party members to improve their wisdom toward the vision of SPLM party.

He said let all the SPLM members across over the Country unite and follow the vision of the former leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) late Dr. John Garang De Mabior. 

The new state deputy chairperson who was elected by 27 votes out of 45 in attendance pledged to work and unite all the SPLM party members in the state. 

The move came two days the party chairman and SPLA commander in chief Salva Kiir Mayardit instructed Gen. Mark Nyipuoch Ubong to reorganize the party office in the state to end long political wrangles between the members within the ruling SPLM party.

Meanwhile the state liberation council members are meeting to elect new office including the state deputy chairperson.

SPLM party senior official in the state Gen. Mark Nyipuoch Ubong called on the SPLM party members in the state to unite ahead of 2015 elections.

Mark reiterated that if he is the person dividing the party, then let his members tell him to leave the party and allow the party to go ahead with progress.

SPLM senior members Martin Majut Yak congratulated the people of Western Bahr el Ghazal state for having Gen. Mark Nyipuoch as a deputy speaker of the national assembly adding that he is a hard working SPLM senior official who had worked so much for making a successful election of the new secretariat.

The elections have also brought together Paulino Adam Nario, Kamil Wana Uraj, Belo Daniel and Joseph Anthony Kpandu to continue working as the members of the SPLM party.

Former deputy SPLM state chairperson Anthony Kpandu called for forgiveness and work as one.

Five new assistant secretaries are expected to be named by the new office.

The elections were overseen by the team from SPLM national secretariat led by assistant secretary for political mobilization Antipas Nyok.
