The Mobilization and Information Sub-Committee led by Kareode Charles Vuzi has informed the residents that the forthcoming agriculture show will take place at Torit Model Market for three days.

“You are therefore urged to participate and turn up to witness and bring along your produce to this wonderful historic event,” he said in an announcement.

The Mobilization and Information Sub-Committee invites producers together with partners to flock with their produce to the named venue, Torit Model Market, within Murwari residential area for the show in order to exhibit them to the public.

The upcoming state event will be held under its theme ‘Diversity in farming is the key for sustainable agriculture and socio-economic growth.’

State officials have disclosed that the ministry has been engaging communities from all the counties in the state to showcase their products ranging from sorghum, maize, bananas, cassava, okra, Kudhura, groundnuts and pumpkins.

The Mobilization and Information Sub-Committee further informs all the private Agriculture Development sector including any other business entities in and outside the state who are interested to exhibit produce or products and technologies during the forthcoming Agriculture Show to turn up to register with Fundraising Sub-Committee at the State Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Irrigation, Cooperative and Rural Development on Thursday 18 October 2013 in order to make necessary arrangements and booking of boots at the showground accordingly.

The trade fair is organised in collaboration with the State Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries and all Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) development partners.
