The visit aimed at examining the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement. Osman told press at the Juba International Airport up on arrival that, his visit came as a follow up of a recent meeting between the two Ministers of the Foreign Affairs of the two countries.

“My visit to Juba is to make a follow up of the implementation of all the cooperation agreements signed between the two countries,” he said.

”We are going to see all the agreements with exception of Abyei because it is the prerogative of the two Presidents only to discuss the Abyei.”

The visit is the first of its kind following recent visit by Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al Bashir to Juba. Bashir and his counter part, Kiir agreed on a number of issues including banning diplomatic and official visas.

In a spirit that, shows betterment of relations between Juba and Khartoum, Osman and his delegation was welcomed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amb. Charles Manyang. All embraced each other with hugs with smiles on their faces.
