It was tabled in a form of Bill by the State Information, broadcasting, Telecommunication and Parliamentary Affair Minister Clement Laku Chichim.
Speaking to the press yesterday shortly after the council meeting, Laku confirmed the passing of the bill but said it is being subjected to further scrutiny.
The deliberation elaborated that internal trip allowances and accommodation within the country unlike preciously, will be in local currency while external trips of the state constitutional post holders will be in hard currency.
Laku did not divulge details about figures of the approved duty allowances for external trips of the constitutional post holders.
The amount to be paid will be determined on the number of days such leaders will be out for official duties.
