Kiir was addressing hundreds of both domestic and foreign investors during a two day South Sudan Investment Conference (SSIC) that kicked off from yesterday in Juba.
“South Sudan is ready and open to business,” Kiir told the investors.
Kiir assured the investors of bettering the security sector which has for years remained one of the threatening challenges in the private sector affecting investment.
He also promised to put in place legal frame works that ensure transparent and accountable environment for business transaction.
“The government is aware that for both domestic and foreign investment to succeed the policy frameworks perfecting various sector of the economy must be established and effectively implemented,” Kiir said.
He said his government is putting in place necessary policies, laws and regulations in order to create and encourage environment for both domestic and foreign investment.
The South Sudan investment conference was attended by more than 400 investors.
