“SPLA forces are now ready to move to Bor,” Kiir told legislators at the National parliament in Juba today. He said he was waiting the United States of America and UN including all other agencies to evacuate their nationals out of Bor and it has been done already.

Commander Peter Gadet, loyalist to former Vice president Dr. Riek Macahr seized Bor last Tuesday following a foiled attempted coup in the South Sudanese Capital, Juba.

The government accused Machar and other senior politicians of being behind the coup attempt.

Over 15,000 civilians are reported to be camping at United Nations’ compound in Bor taking refuge following the escalation of the fighting there.
