New Brunswick RCMP arrested a 36-year-old woman on December 20, 2013 in connection with an ongoing investigation into complaints from television reporters and technical staff.

On October 19, 2013 RCMP responded to a complaint from three journalists and twotechnicians, from three separate networks, that they were told to leave Rexton and that their vehicles and equipment had been confiscated while they were attempting to conduct their work. The vehicles and equipment were returned later the same day.

The woman from Elsipogtog First Nation was arrested on December 20 and later released on conditions the same day after promising to appear in court on February 26, 2014. RCMP are investigating possible charges of mischief and intimidation in relation to the incident involving the television crews.

The investigation is continuing and further charges and additional arrests are anticipated.
