Speaking to the forces during the mass, his Lordship Hiiboro Edward said all must pray for peace and that soldiers should protect civilians and their property.

He further urged the congregation to be exemplary to the community and nobody should allow such moment of suffering to happen again in the community.

He appealed to the forces to preach about peace during their duty hours so that nobody gets to think about going back to the bush.

“For some of you who have preachers amongst you should push the word of peace,” Hiiboro said.

Meanwhile the state governor Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro appreciated the church on behalf of all the organized forces for taking that initiative to organize a mass to talk the forces about love, peace and reconciliation.

He said churches bring peace to their person adding that in this case they have not forgotten the soldiers because they are the ones who protects them.

He appealed to all the forces to take the message they have got from the church to their places of work, military barracks and tell the rest of the people they stay with.

He further urged the soldiers to preach to fellow colleagues and called upon all the citizens in the state not to fear this season because the word of God has touched the soldier nobody should think they will move around beating you.
