“Our government announced its readiness for dialogue…we the parliamentarians support the President,” Magok said while addressing members of Parliament and other senior government officials at the National Legislature.
“There is no need for war,” Magok added. He called for South Sudanese to ensure the full protection of the country’s supreme constitution.
Last Sunday a failed coup took the country into chaos with crisis now escalating across the country displacing over 35,000 civilians according to officials.
Government accused Dr. Riek Machar and senior other ex government officials of masterminding the attempted coup.
