Governors Ordered To Conduct Damage Assessment In 30 Days

The order urges the three governors to conduct damage assessment and analyses in the areas affected by the fighting and report findings within 30 days effective from the day the order was issued.

The three governors vacated their offices when the fighting between SPLA and anti Government forces intensified in their respective state capitals. 

The presidential order read on the national TV on Wednesday directed the governors to return to their offices immediately.  

More destruction was done inside Bor by rebel, banning more houses to ashes and looted properties. Hundreds of dead bodies are seen on Bor streets and some inside the church compound. 

Women and disable people were killed and reportedly raped.  The rebels also burned down Marol market. Thousands of people fled Bor and crossed River Nile into Guol-yar and fled to neighbouring countries Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya and Uganda. 

On Tuesday, Crisis Management Committee (CMC) visited Bor and condemned the atrocities committed.
