The Acting Secretary General Hon. Dr. Joseph Abulemoi handed over of the vehicle to the Union on Friday at the State Secretariat General in Torit.

Speaking during the handover, Abulemoi, representing the governor, urged the beneficiaries to make use of the vehicle particularly to preach peace and create awareness.

According to Abulemoi, the governor was prompted to donate a car to union by his recognition of the contribution of the youth in pushing development in the state.

Dr. Abulemoi said for the youth to do their job effectively, the governor felt they need to have a vehicle.

The Union’s President Mr. Epone Emmanuel Lolimo on receiving the car expressed gratitude to the state government, saying the vehicle will help ease mobility in carrying out union activities..

“On behalf of the youth of EES, I would like to acknowledge the gift from our government under the leadership of Governor Louis Lobong Lojore,” said Epone.

“The car will help us especially in mobility in reaching far areas to preach peace and other beneficial activities like awareness campaign on specific subjects ranging from cattle raids, insecurity, illiteracy and public health education.”

He said, originally, the vehicle belongs to the government but the Youth Union presented an appeal and the governor generously responded.
