Speaking during the Sunday mass at the Episcopal Church of Sudanin Yambio, Governor Bakosoro urged South Sudanese to stand together in the face of the unending conflicts.
“Many innocent lives are being lost as a result of the conflicts we are currently witnessing in our country. Let us embrace each other as Christians for peace”, he said.
He also welcomed the establishment of a province of the church in the state and pledged to purchase avehicle for the new bishop who will be elected to head the province.
The Bishop of All Saints Cathedral Timbiro Bishop Munde Peter explained that the province has been formed to ease spreading of the gospel in Western Equatoria State.
He announced that the bishops in the state have organised an outreach mission to enlighten Christians in the state on the new province.
The mission is expected to cover Maridi, Ibba and ulo Diocese before finally reaching the South Sudanesecapital Juba.
