Mobile Telecommunications Company, Zain, last November launched its new network station in Marial-Lou town of Tonj North in Warrap State.  Vivacell also launched its network In Tonj South County.

Paul Dhel says plans so far there are two mobile networks operating in only some parts of the state. He says efforts to extend the services are being handled.

“In our plan to extend network services to remote areas; I launched Zain network in Marial-Lou and viva cellin Tonj South County respectively. We plan to extend networks to Aliek, Alabek,Rualbet and

Pagol in Tonj North county and other areas across the state.’’

Marial-Lou becomes the second town in Tonj North after Warrap town to obtain the Zain network service.

The Minister appealed to telecommunication companies operating in South Sudan to expand their network services in rural areas of Warrap State in order to curb the problem of communication.

“I encourage all telecommunication companies to join hands and work with us to ensure that no areas are left out of network coverage in Warrap state.”
