“During my term, I will reunite the Nuer and Dinka youth to work for the vision of the country both abroad and back at home”, he told members of the South Sudanese community residing in the Kenyan town.

RUMBEK, 11 August, 2015 [Gurtong] –The newly- elected officials of the Nuer Youth Association in Eldoret, Kenya have called for unity in South Sudan.

The chairman Simon Gatguat Nhial pledged to work towards uniting all South Sudanese during his tenure.

“During my term, I will reunite the Nuer and Dinka  youth to work for the vision of the country both abroad and back at home”, he told members of the South Sudanese community residing in the Kenyan town.

“We will work for peace and harmony in our country. What we need is peace. We should set aside our political differences both overseas and at home in South Sudan in order to attain this. We must pursue a new direction towards peace in South Sudan”, he said.

He at the same time urged the youth to set good examples of good leadership and to take education as the key to reform the culture of war into a culture of peace.

“Education will shape us towards avoiding ethnic division and retrogressive politics”, he said.
