Railways to avoid night running of the trains in WB’s naxal areas

Kolkata: The railways decided to resume the night running of the trains heading to South India through the Naxal areas. The administration decided so because of the naxal attack on Jnaneswari Express in Junglemahal.
 
Mukul Roy, minister-of-states of Railways said that, the state is taking the necessary measures during the running of the trains at night through Junglemahal & the neighboring areas. According to the secretariat officials, WWest Bengal PWD Minister Subrata Bakshi, minister of state for PWD Subrata Saha, forest minister Hiten Burman, & north Bengal development minister Sukumar Hansda will visit Junglemahal on July 12 to examine all the possibilities & situations out there.
Earlier, on this day, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a meeting with all the seniors officers of Police for the security of the trains in the Junglemahal area, that the trains can pass peacefully. After the train mishap, the SER stopped the running of the trains at the night time in the Kharagpur-Rourkela & Midnapore-Adra sections from 10 PM to 5 AM. The same problem is happening at the Chakradharpur-Rourkela sections also.
