Syed Qaim Ali shahFrom 2013, the government of Sindh has made a decision to commence Chinese language in all educational institutions, including schools and colleges, in the province, including Cadet College, Petaro, as a compulsory subject from class VI.

Certain students who will be passing matriculation and other higher-level examinations with Chinese language as a discipline will be eligible and given preference for foreign scholarships and training it was also discussed in the meeting.

Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the Chief Minister`s House took that decision in a meeting here on Sunday. These people attended the meeting presided over by CM: Senior Education Minister Pir Mazharul Haq, Secretary General to the President Salman Farooqui, Special Secretary to the CM Atta Mohammad Panhwar, Education Secretary Siddique Memon, chairman of the Board of Governors of Cadet College, Petaro, and the Principal of Cadet College, Petaro.

In the meeting it was observed that because China was Pakistan`s deep friend and neighbor with whom all possible relations were getting power with every passing day it had become essential to endorse Chinese language in the country.
