Govt doctor arrested for murder of his wife

The doctor who murdered his wife had been arrested. He was employed at the government hospital in West Delhi. His wife was an engineer.

Chandra Vibhash, the surgeon at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital drove to Allahabad to dispose of his wife’s dead body.

The couple got married last year in November.

Chandra Vibhash allegedly strangled his wife Supriya who was 27-year-old on September 23 evening at their Hari Nagar house.

Vibhash stuffed the dead body into a bag and drove down to Allahabad in UP. The surgeon then threw down the bag from a flyover in Handia and returned to Delhi.

A few hours before the murder, Supriya had called up her family on September 23. She told them that her husband was very much angry and she feared for her life.

The parents called up Vibhash enquiring about Supriya.

But the surgeon telling a lie maintained that he was in Mathura. And the husband told the family that he had no knowledge about the whereabouts of his wife.

Along with a couple of close relatives Supriya’s parents reached Delhi on September 25. But the parents found that the rented accommodation of the couple was locked.

A day later, the Supriya’s family confronted Vibhash when he returned home.

Ultimately, the husband broke down and confessed to having strangled his wife with her “chunni”.
