PML-N Quaid Nawaz SharifA high-level PML-N meeting under party president Nawaz Sharif decided to further speed up the ‘go Zardari go’ movement across the country and for this purpose nationalist parties would be associated in the campaign.

The informal meeting held on Thursday at the Raiwind residence of Nawaz Sharif, was attended by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz, Kh Saad Rafiq, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed and others.

Nawaz said the PPP has no more justification to remain in power and it cannot be given any more time and concessions. The meeting reviewed the overall political situation in the country and the political activities of rival parties PTI, PPP and PML-Q.

The participants gave their suggestions to counter the negative propaganda of these parties against the PML-N. Sources said it was unanimously decided by the leaders that it was necessary to send the PPP government packing before the Senate elections in March. For this purpose it was necessary that anti-government movement should be speeded up not only in Punjab but also in other provinces.

Provincial heads of the party would be given specific targets to mobilize people and make the ‘go Zardari go’ a success. For this purpose, Punjab chief minister would start holding meetings with the MPAs and district organizations from next week.

It was also decided to contact Jamaat-e-Islami and nationalist parties in Sindh and Baluchistan to seek their backing and wherever possible, election alliance would also be discussed with them. The meeting rejected the dialogue offer by Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
