The on-going verbal tussle between the members of media over incorrect projection on lawyers gets violent on Friday when lawyers barred the media from entering the Bangalore Civil Court.

The much educated class of media and lawyers were seen throwing stones at each other with calling the opposite side bad names. Local police authorities had to come in action to put an end to the violence outside the court with the use of tear gas.

The issue initiated when the ex-tourism minister of Karnataka was brought to the civil court by the CBI for the hearing. The minister G Janardhana Reddy was brought in the court however the media was not allowed inside the court premises. Despite keeping the media from covering the event, media took shots from far away and gave the break news on each and every channel.

The aggravated lawyers objected over the act of media and thus began the situation which was controlled only after the action of police. According to the footage shown on various television channels, lawyers initiated the fight by abusing, throwing stones, and then physically assaulting some of the members of the media community.

The angry lawyers also damaged police vehicles and journalist’s vans and other equipment used for event coverage. The injured media persons have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The chief minister of the state has requested the law minister to personally look into the matter and punish those responsible for such act of inconsiderateness.
