Akhilesh Yadev, son of the ex-CM of UP and the President of Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadev, officially swore into the office of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, following the footsteps of his father and became the youngest ever candidate to assume the responsibilities of CM in UP.

He was appointed as the 33rd Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday in a grand oath taking ceremony which was held in Lucknow. The cabinet of UP is considered to be of utmost significance to the entire political and economic system of India. Akhilesh will have a total of 46 ministers in his cabinet with 27 state ministers and 19 cabinet ministers.

The new CM reached the venue exactly on time and took his seat while one of the senior members of his party Azam Khan was the first one to greet him at the occasion. The greeting was followed by several other political members which include the Governor of UP BL Joshi, and Anoop Mishra who is the secretary of the state. The ceremony began with a military band playing the tune of the national anthem of India which was followed by the oath taking ceremony where Akhilesh repeated his oath behind the governor of the state.

Following the arrangement of events, names of all the ministers of the cabinet were called out. Akhilesh’s cabinet is no doubt one of the most diversified cabinets in terms of various castes residing in the state.
