Yeddyurappa lands in capital for leadership reinstatement

The ex-chief minister of Karnataka BJ Yeddyurappa arrived in the capital city on Thursday to meet with the senior members of BJP over the leadership reinstatement issue.

Sources informed that the president of BJP Nitin Gadkari and Yeddyurappa are meeting to discuss the controversial situation arising in Karnataka where Yeddyurappa is leading a huge protest against the government and asking the leaders of his party to give him the leadership of the state to resolve the surfacing issues. He has given them the deadline till the first week of April commenting that whatever happens after the deadline will be nobody’s fault.

He has sent the president of his party a letter where he informed the leadership that he has the support of more than 67 MLAs from the assembly. He also suggested that if the leadership promises to replace him with Godwa, he can let the budget in the assembly be passed out with peace.

Yeddyurappa replied to the several questions fired at him by the media and said, “We met Nitin Gadkari. I don’t know what was the discussion with our Chief Minister. That is for the High Command to decide”.

At the same time, Godwa informed the media that he met with the party leadership a day before and was assured that the state will have no leadership change.
