China and Philippines continue to decide the matter on diplomatic terms as Philippines deploys another ship into the naval standoff in China Sea on Thursday.

Speaking to the media, Raul Hernandez, the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of Philippines said that a costal guard ship has been sent into the sea towards the Scarborough Shoal. The second ship will join the biggest naval ship of Philippines constructed by United States in the south of the China Sea where it is standing since Tuesday, blocked by two surveillance ships of China which halted the arresting of Chinese fishermen at the location.

Leaders of both the countries have expressed that they wish to solve the standoff issue with diplomacy. However, on the other hand, various government officials from both countries have been giving statements threating that if the need arises they will protect their sovereign rights over their Islands which are known as Huangyan Island in China and Panatag Island in Philippines.

According to the statement released by Philippines authorities they spotted the fishermen in the sea on Sunday and when they tried to confront the individuals, the two surveillance ships came in between the warship and the boat of the fishermen, preventing the Philippines’ authorities to make arrest.
