Jejomar Binay, the Vice President said in a statement on Wednesday that the results shown by the latest Pulse Asia survey were a ‘humbling validation’ that people appreciated his reliable approval, trust and the work that he and President Aquino had been doing.
He added, “Again, it inspires me and my co-workers in government to give our best in serving our kababayans, especially in addressing the housing needs of our people, and the concerns of Overseas Filipino Workers as well as the victims of human trafficking and illegal recruitment”.
The Vice president got the highest trust ratings with 78 percent, followed by President Benigno Aquino with 65 percent, Senate President Juan Ponce-Enrile with 62 percent, Speaker Feliciano Belmonte with 29 percent and ousted Chief Justice Renato Corona with only 10 percent based on the survey that was conducted from May 20 to 26.
Binay also got the highest approval ratings with 81 percent, followed by Enrile with 68 percent, Aquino with 67 percent, Belmonte 37 percent and Corona again with the lowest rating with only 12 percent.
All these five officials suffered declines in their performance ratings. It was reported by Pulse Asia on Wednesday, June 6 that President Benigno Aquino III suffered the deepest decline from 70 percent in March to 67 percent in May in the nationwide trust ratings in the survey conducted during the dismissal of Chief Justice Renato Corona.
However, it also notified that the ratings were “generally unchanged” in the light of +/- 6 percentage points error margin.
