Former Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) chief Peter Lim was charged on Wednesday with 10 counts of corruption between May 2010 and November 2011, in the court.
He corruptly had obtained sexual gratification from three women in public places such as parking lots, apartments in Clementi and Tanjong Rhu and even in a hotel in Paris, in exchange for favoring their firms during IT-related tenders held by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), said the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB). These women at the center of the saga, all held senior positions in their companies at the time of the alleged offences.
He engaged in the oral sex in May 2010 with Pand Chor Mui who was a general manager at Nimrod Engineering at a car park near Singapore Indoor Stadium.
He was also believed to have sexual gratification in April 2011 with the business development director of NCS, Esther Goh Tok Mui who was a vendor in a car park near Marina Bay Golf Course.
He also had sex and oral sex with Lee Wei Hoon, a director at Singapore Radiation Centre on two separate locations at Big Splash in East Coast Park and in a hotel in Paris last year.
On January, Lim was arrested by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau and was investigated under the Prevention of Corruption Act over allegations of serious personal misconduct. He was arrested two weeks after the former Central Narcotics Bureau director Ng Boon Gay was taken into custody.
Lim could be jailed up to five years and fined up to S$ 100,000 on each charge but the 52-year-old who did not even enter a plea, was now out on bail for S$ 10,000.
