Authorities of Singapore Zoo have planned to celebrate its 40th birthday in a unique manner. Management has arranged a series of events and commenced the hunt for people who were born on the day the zoo began operations on 27 June 1973.
According to Zoo authorities, Zoo twins will be invited to celebrate the special Birthday Bash and be taken on an exclusive tour with a zoo pioneer. Moreover, Singaporeans who turn 40 this year can also avail 40 per cent discount on its admission ticket prices. To participate, they have to contact the zoo at corpcomms.szg@wrs.com.sg.
However, the offer is only valid for Zoo twins who visit with their four other friends during the birthday month. The discount is valid from now till the end of the year. A 40th Birthday Bash Zoo Hunt will be held on 16 and 17 March.
“As a young zoo in an equally young nation, turning 40 is monumental, and a time for us to both reflect and look ahead. We have learnt much along the way, and grown with our visitors who have come to appreciate and recognize our efforts in conservation, education, and recreation,” said Ms Claire Chiang, Chairman, Wildlife Reserves Singapore.
“We hope, in our way of striving to provide exciting and meaningful experiences, we have managed to inspire in our visitors an appreciation of nature and wildlife.”
