Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan said that his party is the first one in Pakistan to practice democracy at the grassroots level. He claimed that PTI has brought a real tsunami in the country by successfully completing the intra-party elections.

“I am proud that for the first time in the history of this country, PTI workers have chosen their leader from grassroots level and I hope that these leaders would bring a change in the near future,” Imran Khan remarked.

Khan was addressing a huge gathering in Peshawar on Sunday. PTI leaders Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Dr Arif Alvi, Jahangir Khan Tareen, Dr Asad Umar, Asad Qaisar, Shaukat Yousafzai, Murad Saeed and Begum Nasim Hayat also addressed.

Khan announced that PTI will prepare “Change Volunteer Force” comprising one million youth to contribute in the upcoming general elections campaign alleging that these volunteers of PTI would travel around the world to appraise the masses regarding PTI programs and change manifesto. Imran also announced that PTI will unveil its manifesto on March 23 at the Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore.

“Those claiming that tsunami has subsided should themselves see this tsunami of the youth. They should know that the tsunami is rather getting more aggressive by the each day passing as the polls are nearing. Those who are afraid of the PTI’s tsunami would have to suffer another shock on March 23 when they would have to see a flood of the people of Lahore and it would not be a mere tsunami but it would be a ‘tsunama’, which would help sweep away all the corrupt forces in the forthcoming elections,” Imran Khan said.

According to Khan, if PTI comes to power, the government would negotiate with militants and would dissociate themselves from the supposed war against terrorism. He was confident that PTI would convince these militants through Jirga to quit violence.
