The Abbotsford Heat defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 4-2 this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum.

Toronto would open the scoring at 10:25 of the first period on Greg Scott’s 5^th goal of the season. Tyler Ruegsegger’s 7^th goal of the year tied the game at one just over three minutes later. Blair Jones, Akim Aliu and Carter Bancks would then score unanswered tallies, giving the Heat a 4-1 lead. Joe Colborne added a goal late in the third period, but the Marlies were unable to mount a comeback.

Toronto returns to the ice tomorrow afternoon when they host the Peoria Rivermen, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m.
