Toronto MarliesThe Abbotsford Heat defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 4-2 this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum.

Toronto would open the scoring at 10:25 of the first period on Greg Scott’s 5th goal of the season. Tyler Ruegsegger’s 7th goal of the year tied the game at one just over three minutes later. Blair Jones, Akim Aliu and Carter Bancks would then score unanswered tallies, giving the Heat a 4-1 lead. Joe Colborne added a goal late in the third period, but the Marlies were unable to mount a comeback.

Toronto returns to the ice tomorrow afternoon when they host the Peoria Rivermen, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m.
