The BJP is finally in election mode as its campaign agenda is sealed and ready for implementation. Reportedly, a number of senior BJP leaders signed off on Narendra Modi’s campaign agenda on Monday. Modi will soon start setting up panels and delegating responsibilities.

Talking to the media after parliamentary board meeting today, BJP leader Ananth Kumar said that his party is fully prepared to fight the Congress-led UPA government on corruption and price rise.

“As it is engulfed in corruption and facing economic crisis and failure in all sectors, the Congress does not want to debate development in Parliament. That, along with the differences in the ruling coalition over various policies is the reason why the government is still uncertain about the monsoon session.

“The UPA (United Progressive Alliance) is breaking from inside. The Parliament session, which is usually in the third week of July, does not seem to be on time as there is no sign of it…This indicates that the Congress can go for early polls…the BJP is also ready for a snap poll,” Kumar said.

Kumar added that the BJP would soon launch an outreach program – sending top leaders on a countrywide trip and arrange over 100 rallies to mobilize electorates. As BJP gears up its preparations for 2012 elections, Modi is appearing as an ambassador of the party.

Contradicting all allegations of been inaccessible and remote, Gujarat Chief Minister Modi conducted an interactive session with over 1500 BJP members in Bihar and is scheduled to visit Odisha and Andhra Pradesh later in July. Although the BJP has not announced Modi as its candidate for prime minister in the upcoming polls, his elevation in the party has implied that he might be considered as a strong candidate in BJP.
