McGuinty Government Makes Donation To Red Cross And Red Crescent
The McGuinty government today announced that it is donating $200,000 to the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to aid victims of the flooding in Pakistan.
The United Nations reports that this is Pakistan’s worst flooding in nearly a century. It has now affected more than four million people and left at least 1,600 dead.

- After causing huge destruction in the northwest, floodwaters have moved southward and submerged villages and some urban centres in Punjab and Sindh province.
