He said that the crucial details would come to the force in the joint meeting of the government and Taliban committees. He said that the government committee has already had a meeting with the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. Professor Ibrahim said that both the committees, if Allah wills would soon be going to the tribal areas to hold the second key meeting with Taliban Shura.

Whereas the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) and the head of the Taliban negotiation committee, Maulana Samiul Haq ruled out the possibility of the current ceasefire coming to an end. Talking to media persons after his meeting with the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar in Islamabad, Maulana Sami said an assessment has been made of the negotiations held between the committees representing the two sides. The Maulana further added that the agenda for the next round of direct talks with the Taliban will be worked out after the government makes its stance public. “The Interior Minister has sought some time,” he told the media men assembled to interview him.
