The Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique this Friday claimed that the government was wasting millions of rupees to ensure security at D-Chowk this 11th May as Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehrrek-e-Insaaf protests against the government. He said the government has no problem with the rally but can not risk the life of innocent people attending the rally.

During a press conference with the local media in attendance, he said that the PTI Chairman Imran Khan is not a cricketer any more, and should try to demonstrate some political maturity. ‘Now he (Imran) has entered in politics so he must use political terms instead of cricket terms,’ he stated. Saad Rafique also said that PTI wanted decision of its choice from courts on the issue of thumbs’ verification but courts had their own mechanism to deliver verdict and justice. He said that the PTI chief had failed to provide evidences of rigging. He said that the people of the party have admitted that he did no rigging in the elections but they should try to explain this to the candidate who was standing against him.

He further added that Imran Khan played his campaign going on helicopters and air conditioned cars in backward areas where people even do not have anything to eat while Shahbaz Sharif has done several development works in Punjab due to which people elected him. He said that Imran Khan must stop misleading the public, instead of protesting on streets he should show up at the National Assembly.
