The prime ministerial candidate who has brought a super win to his party, Narendra Modi today made a grand visit to Varanasi to address and thanks his supporters. Modi made a landslide victory in the Uttar Pradesh with seventy two seats at hand and pushing back his closest rivals Arvind Kejrival of the Aam Aadmi Party and Ajay Rai belonging to the Congress.

With the party president Rajnath Singh, his party UP chief Lakshmikant Bajpai and his close aide Amit Shah, Modi made a visit to the very popular Kashi Vishwant temple and offered his prayers as a sign of thanks. After that Modi and his companions made a turn towards the Ganga and performed the ‘Ganga Aarti’ at the Dashashwamedh Ghat. After that while addressing the people of India and specially of Varanasi for playing their key role in forming the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. Modi further added that the people of Varanasi understood his silence and gave their immense support even though he was hindered from asking them for their help. He said that the voters voted for him understanding the roles being played by the rivals.

He ended his speech with the promise that he will do all that is in his control to clean his “mother Ganga”. Modi further asked the people of Varanasi to help him and to be a part of his cleanliness drive. He vowed to make Kashi a clean city. He also praised Rajnath Singh and called him the most successful BJP president.
