This Thursday, the Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, accompanied by the Prime Minister of China Li Keqiang, was welcomed with a grad ceremony held at the Great Hall of People, Beijing.
Najib is leading a 15-member delegation that includes Defence Minister and acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein; Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman; Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to China Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting; International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed; Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob; Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Idris Haron and Malaysian Ambassador to China Datuk Iskandar Sarudin. The leaders witnessed the signing of the six memorandums of understanding (MoU) at the government-to-government level, for Defence, Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence.
The agreements for Executive Programme for Cultural Cooperation and Exchange of Instrument on the Establishment of new Chinese consulates in Kota Kinabalu and Penang, and a new Malaysian consulate in Nanning were also signed. Both the Premiers also agreed that the search for the missing Malaysian Airlines plane holding flight the MH370 with 239 people on board should not be stopped. Najib said that he understands the fact that the families who had to face the tragedy, need answers.
