The Interior Minister of Pakistan, Chaudary Nisar Ali Khan this Saturday imposed a ban on holding any public gathering in the city of Islamabad. He added that the authorities are not supposed to give permission for any ‘jalsa’ or ‘jaloos’ to be carried out in the city of Islamabad. Apart from that he also gave orders for increased security in the twin cities of Pakistan.

Extra security measures are being taken on the arrival of Dr. Tahirul Qadri, the chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) who is returning to Pakistan after the attack on his house and the trust started by him. More than 12 people died in the attack which included two women who were part of the chain of women trying to stop the police men from attacking the people inside the house of Dr. Tahirul Qadri. The Interior Minister ordered the Commissioner of Pakistan to hold a ban on any kind of rally or public gathering in the federal city of Pakistan and also ordered the law enforcement agencies to make the two cities, Islamabad and Rawalpindi more secure and to eliminate any militant elements on war footing. The adjacent areas of these two cities are told to be made more secure as well.

The intelligence agencies this Saturday termed Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri’s schedule road travel from Islamabad to Lahore as unsafe. Intelligence report says that Qadri could face severe security dangers upon arrival in Pakistan, Dunya News reported. According to their sources, intelligence agencies alerted the police about the potential threat. The report says that Qadri’s road travel from Islamabad to Lahore is extremely dangerous.
