The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak, has termed the safe return of the Vice Chancellor of Islamia College University Peshawar Prof. Ajmal Khan, and further congratulated him and his family members and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also congratulated the academician circles of the province at large according to the Associated Press of Pakistan.
It further said that the CM lauded the vibrant role of Pak-Army in respect of his successful recovery after 4 years of his kidnapping and captivity in the adjacent tribal belt.In a message of felicitation, he said that people of high caliber like Prof. Ajmal Khan were the invaluable and great assets of our province who carried the academic, literary, knowledge and research activities in our educational institutions to educate and prepare builders of the nation. He said that the safe recovery of Prof. Ajmal Khan spread a wave of pleasure among the people of the province.
He assured that the KP police as well as all security and intelligence agencies have been strengthened, disciplined and capable enough now that kidnapping of even an ordinary citizen could not be possible in future what to think of the abduction of our literateurs and other men of head and heart. He said that the internal and external security of the province has been improved to the extent that besides maintenance of law & order, the kidnapping and other crimes were being checked effectively and the citizens were being given a complete sense of the protection of lives, properties and honor.
