This Tuesday, four days before the Delhi election, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its vision document which is in strong competition with the manifesto presented by the Aam Admi Party (AAP). The vision document 2050 is promising a corruption free government, a world-class city and also 24 hour of water supply in the city.

According to NDTV, the party’s presumptive chief minister Kiran Bedi said the document has over 270 points and addresses 35 areas that impact “every single person in Delhi.” Bedi was accompanied by Anant Kumar and the state’s BJP chief Satish Upadhyay. Ms Bedi further added “Corruption in any department will not be tolerated. This includes the police.”

The document is said to be focusing on development in line with PM Modi’s agenda. The news portal further added that the BJP scrapped plans to release a manifesto and decided to give Delhi the vision document instead; the manifesto was reportedly stuck due to differences between key state leaders over the demand for full statehood for Delhi. According to a lot of pre-election surveys, the AAP has an edge in the up-coming elections which are being held this Saturday, the 7th of February. The BJP, according to the local media, has been out of power in Delhi for the last 16 years. It is yet to see whether Modi-luck or Kiran Bedi’s vision document can bring a change in history.
